About the Role

The Painter I position is responsible for applying paint, stains, and various finishes to walls, ceilings, and furniture within the property. This includes preparing surfaces with primers or sealers, removing old paint finishes by methods such as stripping, sanding, wire brushing, or abrasive blasting, and ensuring protective covering during painting operations. The Painter will also handle cleanup and proper storage of tools and coordinate with vendors to customize paint colors.

Key Responsibilities

• Use brushes, spray guns, or rollers for applying paints and other finishes.
• Prepare surfaces by applying primers, sealers, or removing old finishes.
• Protect surfaces appropriately during painting work and display requisite paint signs.
• Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment.
• Coordinate with external vendors to adjust paint, stain, or varnish colors as needed.
• Adhere strictly to company safety and security policies, report any hazards or incidents, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a clean and professional personal appearance and uphold confidentiality.
• Welcome and assist guests per company standards, including addressing special needs and providing courteous service.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
• Support team objectives and ensure the delivery of high-quality work standards.
• Physically capable of reaching overhead, bending, twisting, climbing ladders, and handling objects up to 50 pounds.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

• Completion of a technical, trade, or vocational school program.
• Minimum of one year of relevant painting or finishing work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No license or certification necessary.
