Key Responsibilities

• Maintain hotel walls, ceilings, painted floors, woodwork, and furniture according to set standards.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of different types of paints, oils, and polishes.
• Regularly inspect public areas to ensure tidiness and presentation.
• Use appropriately sized ladders and scaffolding to safely perform tasks.
• Protect surrounding areas before starting work and place visible caution signs around the worksite.
• Clean the work area thoroughly after job completion.
• Apply caps on fire detectors during painting jobs to prevent false alarms and remove them afterward.
• Be proficient in ordering necessary materials and using various paint products.
• Assist the Engineering Supervisor with ordering special paints and polishes, and monitor stock usage.
• Dispose of combustible materials such as paint tins and drums safely.
• Have expertise in installing decorative ceramic tiles, wall plastering, concrete mixing and shuttering, road paving tile installation, silicon application, and grouting.
• Maintain the painting workshop in a clean, tidy, and safe condition to prevent fire hazards.
• Be fully trained in Emergency and Fire procedures.
• Attend departmental communication meetings as directed by the Engineering Supervisor.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisors.
• Train as a member of the hotel fire team.
• Assist in monthly inventory checks of operating equipment.
• Undertake painter responsibilities as per the engineer duty roster.
