Position Overview
We are currently looking for a Paralegal to join our dedicated legal team on a fixed-term contract lasting between 4 to 6 months. This role offers the chance to engage with a broad range of legal issues including corporate support, consumer law, commercial contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and legal research. Reporting to the Head of Legal, UK, the successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring effective and high-quality legal assistance across various tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage corporate and commercial documentation preparation and review including board minutes and filings.
- Assist with company formation, restructuring, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Maintain corporate records and organize filing systems efficiently.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on corporate governance and contractual matters.
- Review customer-facing terms and conditions and commercial contracts, maintaining a contract register with renewal tracking.
- Support contract negotiations and summarize key contract elements for review.
- Handle consumer legal queries professionally and assist in dispute resolution and potential legal claims.
- Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs; maintain a register of executed agreements and monitor expiration dates.
- Support data protection impact assessments and assist in privacy policy development and compliance monitoring.
- Conduct thorough legal research, analyze statutes and case law, and prepare research summaries for attorney evaluation.
- Assist with meeting and hearing preparations, document management, and billing support.
- Contribute effectively as part of the global Privacy function within eMed.
Candidate Profile
- Legal qualification from a respected law school or university.
- Minimum one year of experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or Corporate Secretary in either law firm or corporate settings preferred.
- Experience or interest in healthcare and technology sectors, especially health tech and AI applications, is advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail in project management, communications, and document control.
- High level of integrity and discretion in managing confidential information.
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop effective working relationships across various business units.
- Paralegal certification or equivalent legal degree is strongly favored.
- Proficient with technology and computer systems.

Additional Details
This position is office-based at our Euston, London location, operating Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
