About the Role

Join Walmart Canada as a People Greeter, where your primary responsibility is to foster a welcoming atmosphere and contribute to a positive shopping experience for customers. You will provide warm, professional customer service while supporting sales floor activities to build customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer friendly, efficient greeting and assistance to customers as they enter and exit the store, ensuring a positive impression.
• Enhance store security by tagging returned merchandise, monitoring high-value product purchases like electronics, verifying receipts when necessary, and reporting suspicious activities to management or Loss Prevention. Respond promptly to Code ADAM alerts according to protocols.
• Address EAS alarm signals courteously, diagnose deactivation issues, accurately complete logs, and inform management about equipment concerns.
• Provide necessary shopping resources including carts, baskets, and flyers; assist customers by providing directions and information; collaborate with sales associates to locate products and services.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free store environment by consistently adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support seamless store operations.

Challenges in the Position

• Effectively manage high task volumes in a fast-paced environment, particularly during overnight shifts, maintaining energy and focus.
• Efficiently handle restocking and recovery tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness despite workload intensity.
• Perform physical activities involving standing for long periods, bending, and lifting inventory or equipment weighing between 20 and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Conduct repetitive duties such as stocking, zoning, and organizing merchandise, maintaining consistent attention to detail and store standards.

Compensation

The position starts at an hourly wage of $17.75.
