Role Overview

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Planner/Scheduler is central to organizing workforce resources, coordinating maintenance, shutdowns, and project delivery. Close collaboration with operations, engineering, and site teams ensures optimal planning and deployment of labor and equipment to fulfill business and client needs. This is a FIFO role designed for a detail-oriented professional who excels in a high-pressure setting, managing multiple tasks simultaneously to support safe, efficient operational continuity and ongoing improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain detailed schedules for maintenance, shutdowns, and operational tasks.
  • Organize labor, equipment, and resources to meet project and operational demands.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, engineering, and site personnel to ensure alignment with business priorities.
  • Manage mobilization, onboarding, site access, travel logistics for staff and subcontractors, and update rosters accordingly.
  • Process and review timesheets for payroll accuracy.
  • Maintain training records, compliance documents, site records, and workforce data such as resource registers.
  • Monitor ongoing progress and adjust schedules to reflect changes in scope or resource availability.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety, regulatory, and operational standards.
  • Utilize planning systems, facilitate stakeholder communication, and identify opportunities for continuous operational improvements.

Additional Information

This is a permanent, full-time FIFO role with a swing roster of two weeks on followed by two weeks off. Locations include Adelaide, SA, or Brisbane, QLD, with the work operation based in Moomba, South Australia.
