Role Overview
The QA Engineer position positions you as the custodian of quality within Agile teams, prioritizing early quality integration to expedite the delivery of superior software. You will act as a critical link between business expectations and exceptional user experiences by creating a solid automated testing framework for both web and mobile applications.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners during backlog refinement to craft clear Acceptance Criteria and detect edge cases prior to development.
- Design, build, and sustain scalable automated testing frameworks leveraging Playwright for web and Maestro for mobile platforms.
- Integrate and manage automated regression test suites directly within CI/CD pipelines to facilitate fast and dependable software releases.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members, encouraging a shared ownership of quality throughout the engineering organization.
- Conduct comprehensive end-to-end testing, including API assessments using Postman or Swagger and validation of database integrity across the SaaS environment.
- Continuously analyze and improve quality assurance processes by introducing modern QA tools and strategies.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least five years of professional experience in software testing lifecycle with a focus on both web and mobile applications.
- Solid skills in developing automated testing frameworks from the ground up, particularly with Playwright using JavaScript or TypeScript, and familiarity with Maestro or equivalent mobile testing tools.
- Proven experience working in Agile Scrum environments, actively participating in team ceremonies and promoting early-stage testing approaches.
- Hands-on experience with Git version control, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or Docker, and SQL queries for data validation.
- Fluent English communication skills to effectively collaborate with an international and primarily remote team.
