Job Overview

A biopharmaceutical company in Rockville, MD is seeking a dedicated Research Associate for a 6+ month contract position to support cancer therapy R&D through animal modeling studies. The role demands working onsite, Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, with an hourly pay rate between $28 and $43.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct various assays, tests, and studies related to animal modeling, analyze raw data, and perform statistical analyses using software such as Microsoft Office, GraphPad Prism, and R Studio.
• Manage mammalian cell culture processes including media and buffer preparation, culture initiation, propagation, cryopreservation, and handling of primary human cells from commercial and patient sources following standard procedures.
• Use traditional and spectral flow cytometry techniques to examine target antigen expression across in-vitro and ex-vivo samples, preparing and processing samples for analysis.
• Prepare dosing formulations for in-vivo studies, report experimental results to supervisors, collaborate with investigators, and maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Maintain thorough records of experiments and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Biology, or related fields.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in tissue culture, traditional and spectral flow cytometry, animal handling for imaging, including IVIS imaging.
• Proficiency in computer skills including data analysis software such as Microsoft Office, GraphPad Prism, Pristima, programming, and data analysis using R Studio and Linux.
