Position Overview

The Returns Auditor plays a vital role in examining and testing returned tools and batteries within 30 days of return to ensure quality and proper disposition of items. This full-time, permanent position based in Georgina, ON, requires a meticulous and detail-focused individual capable of conducting thorough inspections and adhering to established guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret return documentation such as RGA (RMA) forms and packing lists accurately to verify returns.
• Visually examine all returned tool models, batteries, and kits for cleanliness and completeness of included accessories.
• Test the functionality of tools and batteries to confirm they operate correctly.
• Make informed disposition decisions based on detailed documented procedures.
• Confirm the accuracy of returns paperwork ensuring correct item processing.
• Maintain high quality standards and achieve productivity targets.
• Complete required check sheets for each order assessed.
• Use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to process returns and conduct item conversions and inventory updates.
• Contribute support to other tasks or departments as necessary.
• Uphold 5S workplace organization principles and adhere to safety standards.
• Adapt to changes effectively, work alternate shifts and weekends when required.
• Perform various operational roles within the department as needed.
• Develop expertise to train and assist colleagues in audit procedures.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of functional testing protocols for tools and batteries in the audit station.
• Engage in Continuous Improvement initiatives actively.
• Stand for extended periods and handle frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling during inspections.
• Lift items up to 40 pounds safely.
• Work comfortably in variable temperature conditions while performing duties.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
• Proven strong organizational and time management capabilities.
• Basic proficiency in mathematics and computer use essential.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow instructions efficiently within deadlines.
• One to two years of previous experience in electrical or mechanical repair is required.
• Mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills to evaluate tool and battery conditions accurately.
