Role Overview

The Security Officer will ensure a secure and compliant environment by managing security operations. This includes monitoring various security systems, leading audit processes, conducting security inspections, and maintaining security awareness programs.

• Enforce and uphold security protocols and compliance standards.
• Manage internal, external, customer, and security-related audits.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of CCTV, access control, alarms, and emergency equipment.
• Perform routine security inspections and system evaluations.
• Provide training focused on security and safety awareness.
• Handle incident response, emergencies, and breaches efficiently and professionally.
• Keep detailed security documentation and reports up to date.
• Protect company assets, personnel, and visitors on company premises.
• Manage secure procedures for deliveries, shipments, and visitor access.
• Assist in ongoing enhancement of security methodologies and controls.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will possess a proactive, reliable attitude toward maintaining workplace safety. Strong organizational and compliance skills, effective communication across various levels, and the ability to remain composed under pressure are essential.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Preferably hold a Security Training Certification.
• 3 to 4 years experience in security operations or related systems roles.
• Knowledge in security procedures, incident response, and risk management.
• Proficient English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Location and Conditions

• Onsite position based in Galway, Ireland.
