Role Overview

The Senior Data Analyst position lies within the Infrastructure Engineering and Cloud Operations (IECO) team and plays a crucial role in defining, quantifying, and examining key data assets to produce insights that influence various organizational procedures and initiatives. Responsibilities include crafting extensive data reporting strategies and offering consultative assistance to stakeholders for continuous process refinement through data-driven decisions. Collaboration with Application Development, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure Engineering teams is essential to develop and maintain secure, efficient solutions primarily serving the not-for-profit sector. This remote opportunity allows impactful contributions toward organizational and operational success through expert data analysis.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or similar discipline.
At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or related functions, ideally in software development or delivery contexts.
Skilled with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Tableau or comparable platforms.
Experience managing projects of small to medium scale from initiation through deployment, displaying accountability.
Strong grasp of data gathering, dataset administration, and report creation supporting business intelligence.
Proficient in cross-departmental collaboration involving development, cybersecurity, and systems engineering.
Knowledge of DevSecOps concepts and experience driving security enhancements through data insights.
Familiarity with vulnerability assessments and patching in cloud environments including Windows and Linux, plus understanding of vulnerability scoring.
Bonus skills: Power BI, Azure technologies (Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, PostgreSQL), programming/scripting (Python, C#), big data tools such as SSAS.
Experience with cloud platforms and version control systems like Git or VSTS is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Develop enterprise-grade business intelligence reports facilitating monitoring and improving organizational processes.
Construct and refine data queries for accurate mining, analysis, and reporting.
Set and uphold standards to foster efficiency, covering routine and scheduled metric reporting.
Collaborate with technical and business units to evaluate security and patching workflows, ensuring compliance and issue resolution.
Partner with multiple teams to design and execute strategic and operational plans enhancing infrastructure and security procedures.
Work alongside security personnel and tools to review data acquisition methods and provide analytics enabling expedited issue management.
Identify and recommend process or technology improvements to boost efficiency and security.
Monitor vulnerability assessments on cloud and on-premise systems to support preventative security strategies.
Keep current with industry best practices, evolving technologies, and compliance requirements relevant to data analytics and security.
