Role Overview

We are recruiting a Senior Network Engineer specializing in LAN to join our global team. This position involves managing and enhancing IP network components within a high-availability datacenter environment powered by Cisco Nexus platforms. This hands-on role demands extensive knowledge in routing, switching, network security, and load balancing, along with a strong drive for automation and ongoing process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert assistance in resolving network connectivity issues in collaboration with external clients.
• Collaborate closely with Network Architects and engineers to refine and optimize data center network infrastructure.
• Lead and initiate projects aimed at enhancing network operations.
• Engage with various internal business units to understand organizational needs and implement operational standards for excellence.
• Evaluate, analyze, and execute network change requests effectively.
• Develop, document, and maintain network automation tools to handle routine tasks efficiently.

Qualifications and Expertise

• A minimum of 7 years' experience managing medium to large-scale enterprise networks.
• Proficiency in network security using Palo Alto firewalls, load balancing with F5 or equivalent technologies, and advanced routing protocols including MPLS, OSPF, and BGP.
• Extensive experience working with Cisco Nexus switches (models 9k, 7k, 5k, 2k) and familiarity with Cisco IOS, preferably Nexus OS.
• In-depth understanding of platform operating systems, LAN/WAN architectures, and routing protocols.
• Experience in data center networking, including fabric technologies, interoffice routing, and site-to-site VPN implementations.
• Strong problem-solving skills employing data-driven methods for network troubleshooting.
• Competence in creating and maintaining network diagrams and operational runbooks.
• Bonus: Experience implementing solutions involving large data centers, monitoring, IPsec, and firewall configuration.
