Senior Procurement Associate (Data Center projects)

About the Role

A prominent and rapidly expanding engineering consultancy focused on hyperscale data centers and mission-critical infrastructure is looking for a skilled Senior Procurement Associate to join their growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in procuring materials, equipment, and services essential to support complex engineering and construction undertakings.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle the complete procurement lifecycle for engineering and construction projects.
• Identify and assess potential suppliers to achieve optimal commercial and operational results.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers on pricing, delivery timelines, payment terms, warranties, and contractual agreements.
• Develop commercial evaluations and procurement proposals for approval by project stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with teams from engineering, commercial, project delivery, and finance departments.
• Track supplier performance and delivery progress to align with project schedules.
• Maintain comprehensive procurement records, supplier databases, and purchasing documentation.
• Manage supplier relationships, initiate cost-saving measures, and implement procurement best practices.

Essential Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years' experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, or Category Management roles.
• At least 5 years of professional experience within data centers, engineering, construction, MEP, or other engineering project-based sectors.
• Proficient in commercial negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Familiarity with procurement systems, ERP software, and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.
• Ability to oversee multiple procurement packages and adhere to project deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication skills, and problem-solving aptitude.
