Software Engineer, Full Stack

The Core team underpins Google’s flagship offerings by developing foundational technical frameworks, developer platforms, infrastructure, and product components. This team drives innovation company-wide by creating centralized, scalable solutions and enhancing system robustness, impacting major technical decisions across Google.

Role Responsibilities

• Author code for products or systems development.
• Engage in or lead technical design reviews with peers and stakeholders to select appropriate technologies.
• Review peer code to ensure adherence to best practices regarding style, accuracy, testability, efficiency, and proper version control.
• Contribute to and update documentation and educational materials, tailoring content for new features and user feedback.
• Diagnose, track, and resolve product or system defects by analyzing their causes and effects on hardware, networking, or service operations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum two years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, or one year with an advanced degree.
• At least two years of full stack development experience involving back-end languages like Java, Python, Golang, or C++, plus front-end technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, AngularJS, HTML, and CSS.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or other technical disciplines.
• At least two years of experience working with data structures and algorithms.
• Background in building accessible technologies.
• Experience developing large-scale distributed systems.
