About the Role
Our client, a construction and interior fit-out contractor based in Dublin 4, is seeking a skilled Technical Designer / BIM Technician. This full-time, permanent position involves producing precise technical drawings and design documentation to support projects from tender through to completion. The role requires close cooperation with Sales, Estimating, Project Management, and Operations teams to convert client needs into feasible construction solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Create comprehensive technical drawings and construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD software.
- Develop BIM models and generate technical schedules when necessary.
- Conduct site surveys and collect essential project data.
- Contribute to tender submissions by providing detailed design information and technical expertise.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors to confirm that designs are practical and meet compliance requirements.
- Provide technical support to project teams during all phases of the project.
- Ensure all documentation adheres to relevant building regulations, industry standards, and project specifications.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in roles such as Technical Designer, BIM Technician, CAD Technician, or Draughtsperson.
- Background in construction, interior fit-out, steel fabrication, window or façade design, or similar fields.
- Proficiency with Revit and BIM is highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of construction detailing and technical drawing conventions.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
