Position Overview
We are seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Architectural Designer to join Ponting Fitzgerald Architects, a forward-thinking and entrepreneurial team committed to revolutionizing real estate development. Role Details
The selected candidate will engage closely with lead architect Matt Fitzgerald, focusing primarily on small residential and urban design projects. Early responsibilities include producing precise architectural documentation and developing rigorous office standards, with progression into full-scale design involvement.
Responsibilities
- Create accurate architectural drawings, 3D models, and comprehensive construction documents.
- Develop and maintain robust internal design standards and drafting templates.
- Research and apply local zoning, building codes, and sustainability standards to project guidelines.
- Manage documentation to ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Lead design efforts for projects ranging from single-family dwellings to medium-scale mixed-use developments, emphasizing design quality.
- Collaborate with internal construction, engineering, and real estate teams to devise innovative, budget-conscious solutions.
- Support all stages of architectural design, including schematic design, documentation, and construction administration.
- Adapt to varied ad-hoc assignments within a dynamic entrepreneurial setting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture required; Master’s degree considered advantageous.
- Candidate should be actively pursuing architectural licensure (Registered Architect) in Colorado.
- Advanced proficiency in architectural software, with emphasis on ArchiCAD for 3D modeling and BIM workflows.
- Solid knowledge of residential building codes, zoning laws, and architectural design principles.
- Demonstrated strong communication, leadership skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities and budgets.
