About the Role
Heights Venture invites a proactive, driven Architectural Designer to join our Houston office as a full-time team member. This role suits professionals who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and are looking to engage in diverse responsibilities involving design and project management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage personal workflow and coordinate with the project supervisor to develop project documentation, overseeing assigned project phases or tasks.
- Lead daily project details by directing, coordinating, and managing operations for specific projects.
- Contribute to design solutions and creatively transform concepts into visual representations.
- Engage in scheduling and effective communication with project teams for smooth project execution.
- Oversee personnel allocations for projects in consultation with supervisors.
- Research necessary data including building codes and zoning regulations relevant to project phases.
- Assist with the preparation and detailing of Construction Documents.
- Keep the project team informed about schedules and ongoing concerns.
- Regularly review project documentation with supervisors to ensure completeness and compliance.
- Ensure technical accuracy and completeness of all drawing documentation or related tasks under responsibility.
- Adhere strictly to project formats and office standards as per the Project Reference Manual.
- Complete required position competency and accountability checklists.
- Manage and maintain an appropriate workload by coordinating with supervisors for self and assigned interns.
Qualifications
- Possess an accredited degree in Architecture.
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in architectural design.
- Proficient with design software including Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp, with advanced skills in Revit considered a significant advantage.
- Experience using Enscape or other architectural rendering software is beneficial.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and communication abilities.
