Assistant Manager

About the Role

This full-time leadership position involves complete responsibility for the overall performance and daily operations of the gym. The role requires setting a standard of excellence spanning sales, customer service, and day-to-day operations, ensuring a superior experience for every member visit.

As the key representative of Everlast Gyms, you will actively lead on the gym floor and reception areas, uphold the highest standards, and motivate your team to achieve outstanding results. With a detail-oriented and solution-focused approach, you will be accountable for key performance indicators, staff development, and operational consistency.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruiting, developing, and leading a high-performing team, providing ongoing constructive feedback to optimize potential.
• Managing all commercial revenue streams, including memberships, personal training, and secondary sales to maximize profitability.
• Creating an inviting, dynamic, and premium atmosphere that enhances member experience.
• Ensuring that all sales and operational processes comply with company regulations and central initiatives such as FUNDAMENTALS, ASCEND, and MOVE.
• Maintaining top-tier standards for cleanliness, safety, and presentation, whether on duty or off.
• Rapidly adjusting to challenges, devising solutions, and guiding the team through changes with resilience and agility.
• Overseeing compliance with policies, procedures, health and safety standards, including pool plant management.

Candidate Profile

• Passionate about health, fitness, and wellness.
• Preferably holds a Level 2 Fitness Qualification.
• Exhibits strong leadership skills with flexible communication and management styles.
• Focus on member-first service and excellent interpersonal abilities.
• Commercially savvy with determination to exceed targets.
• Positive attitude, ambitious mindset, and fearless problem-solving approach.
• Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
