Job Purpose
The role is focused on carrying out security operations in line with the broader security strategy. The position supports risk assessment activities, helps implement mitigation actions, carries out patrols, manages access control, and safeguards assets to maintain a secure environment.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day security activities so they remain aligned with the business and site security strategy, while contributing operational inputs that improve the overall security approach.
- Help implement the operating framework and standard operating procedures so that security processes are followed consistently and effectively.
- Take part in patrolling duties and monitor the site through CCTV systems, keeping records of observations and maintaining strong security awareness.
- Assist with access control operations and report any process gaps or deviations to the security leadership team.
- Support the handling of visitor access cards and ensure entry and exit procedures remain secure and efficient.
- Monitor traffic-related security processes, including checks for authorised vehicles and cargo, using tools such as GPS and RFID tagging where required.
- Provide support during crises, emergencies, and incidents by following response plans and managing exceptions as they occur.
- Stay updated on digital and AI developments to help improve business effectiveness and competitiveness.
Stakeholders
Internal: Officer Security, security staff, and other zonal teams.
External: Law enforcement agencies and security vendors.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Security Management or a related discipline is required.
Experience
At least 3 years of experience in security operations, with specific exposure to access control, patrol activities, and emergency response.
