Role Summary
The Associate Account Manager role within Fanatics Collectibles focuses on supporting and expanding the North American retail business portfolio, primarily among emerging and non-traditional retail accounts. This role reports to retail leadership and is suited for an early-career sales professional aiming to build foundational skills in account management, retail operations, analytics, and channel development. The position is based onsite in New York City.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage retail account listings and maintain data accuracy across FC Pro and retailer systems, covering product details, pricing, and packaging.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales Operations, Trade Strategy, and IT to ensure efficient onboarding and listing of new accounts before product launches.
- Handle retailer database updates including EDI setups, SKU assignments, and distribution of sales materials.
- Monitor listing accuracy meticulously and resolve any inconsistencies to facilitate smooth product sell-through.
- Assist in developing pricing and packaging strategies for retail partners, ensuring timely review and approvals.
- Serve as the primary liaison for a portfolio of professional team accounts and emerging sports-adjacent and energy channel accounts, supporting daily sales activities and fostering growth.
- Identify, evaluate, and bring onboard new retail doors with strong collector markets to broaden distribution.
- Utilize systems like FC Pro and SalesForce to manage accounts, monitor performance, and communicate product programs.
- Collaborate closely with senior account managers and the NA Retail leadership to align priorities and execute effective promotional strategies.
- Track market trends and competitive behavior to generate insights and opportunities for team strategies.
- Compile and deliver business reviews and account performance updates for internal stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- One to three years of professional experience in sales, account management, retail operations, or related fields; relevant internships considered.
- Preferred background in consumer products, specialty retail, or sports/entertainment sectors.
- A passion or understanding of trading cards, collectibles, and sports culture adds a competitive advantage.
- Excellent organizational skills with an aptitude for managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and commitment to process accuracy in data management and account tasks.
- Proactive work ethic characterized by urgency, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of working collaboratively within a team and with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with CRM software such as SalesForce is beneficial.
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to New York City; the position requires physical presence at the office.
