Role Overview
This position sits within the manufacturing logistics and supply network, where the focus is on making sure essential medicines reach patients on time and in the right quantities. The job supports a fast-moving pharmaceutical supply chain by improving planning, inventory control, and issue resolution across multiple stakeholders.
Key Contributions
- Take ownership of moderately complex workstreams, manage priorities well, and build practical short-term plans to meet targets.
- Create inventory targets and budgets while working with AMP Supply Planners to refine forecasts as market conditions change.
- Support supply assurance and overall supply chain performance for the assigned product portfolio, including participation in global and regional discussions.
- Track inventory shelf life and expiry closely to reduce write-offs and strengthen controls that prevent obsolescence.
- Coordinate routine launches, product line extensions, and significant product changes that support business growth.
- Analyze the root causes behind inventory variances, define corrective actions, and work with AMP Team Leads and AMP Hub Senior Supply Planners on escalated matters.
- Act as the main contact for brand supply leads and manufacturing sites on supply disruptions, recovery plans, and inventory matters while staying compliant and audit-ready.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of experience, associate degree with 6+ years, BA/BS with 2+ years, or MBA/MS with relevant experience at any level.
- PPIC and supply chain management experience is required.
- Background in pharmaceutical operations is necessary.
- Strong working knowledge of production planning, capacity planning, shop floor control, distribution planning, and inventory management.
- Ability to identify patterns in data, investigate issues, and reach sound conclusions from analysis.
- Comfort building effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong written and spoken English skills.
- Good understanding of laws, market practices, and the local logistics business environment.
Preferred Experience
- Practical experience working in SAP.
- Exposure to supply chain project management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Well-developed organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle shifting priorities and multiple tasks at once.
- Experience guiding others or serving in a mentor/leadership capacity within a supply chain team.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot for problem-solving and productivity, along with an understanding of responsible AI use, ethical considerations, and risk management.
Work Arrangement
This is a site-based role with an on-premise work location in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India.
