About The Role

Join Trullii Modular Home Systems as an Automation Engineer at our advanced modular housing factory located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing automation and robotic systems that underpin our manufacturing operations. Your work will be key to ensuring high efficiency, exceptional quality, and safety across our production lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy automation and robotic solutions to streamline manufacturing workflows.
• Work collaboratively with diverse teams to determine automation requirements, evaluate feasibility, and devise detailed project plans.
• Program, troubleshoot, and maintain robotic and other automation equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance to guarantee continuous operation of automated systems.
• Analyze and enhance automated process performance to achieve production and quality targets.
• Enforce safety measures and protocols within automation systems to maintain a secure workplace environment.
• Offer technical support to production staff regarding automation-related challenges.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to foster ongoing improvements in automation.
• Maintain thorough documentation for system modifications, upgrades, and maintenance procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrable experience in industrial automation and robotics applications.
• Proficiency with programming languages including PLC, C++, and Python.
• Familiarity with Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective project management and organizational skills.
• Adept at working independently as well as collaboratively within teams.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Understanding of safety regulations and protocols relevant to industrial environments.
