Backend Developer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer proficient in Python to join our team located in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. This full-time, onsite position involves designing and implementing scalable backend services and APIs, ensuring robust security and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain efficient, well-structured RESTful APIs.
• Design and manage database solutions using PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Enhance application performance and enforce security standards.
• Write automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Collaborate effectively with frontend and mobile development teams to deliver seamless integration.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Strong command of Python programming language.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI or Django frameworks.
• Expertise in designing RESTful APIs and understanding of API security practices including JWT and OAuth authentication mechanisms.
• Proficient with databases, both relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Ability to produce clean, maintainable, and testable code.

Working Conditions

• Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
• Location: First Floor, Stella Olufunke House, Bank Road, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria.

Additional Information

This full-time role requires a minimum of two years of professional experience in backend development and offers a structured weekday workweek excluding weekends.
