Role overview
The Business Analytics team includes specialists in business intelligence and digital consulting who focus on online retail and e-commerce performance. The group uses data analysis, customer behavior insights, and market research to strengthen the shopping experience on Lowes.com, which plays a major role in the company’s online revenue growth.
In this position, you will collaborate with teams across the business to study customer patterns, turn findings into practical insights, and help guide decisions through evidence-based recommendations.
Data analysis and business insights
- Gather, combine, check, and assess information from several sources to support category planning and business strategy.
- Study customer actions, product interest, and new trends using data-led methods.
- Use statistical and quantitative techniques to spot patterns and produce actionable findings.
- Convert analysis into recommendations that improve customer experience and overall business results.
Reporting and dashboarding
- Create, update, and automate reports on a daily, weekly, and event-driven basis.
- Design dashboards that track key website and business performance indicators.
- Prepare reports and insight summaries for projects and stakeholder discussions.
Digital and e-commerce analytics
- Review website performance across search, browsing, and navigation journeys.
- Run site audits to uncover optimization opportunities in digital channels.
- Work with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and similar tools to measure user engagement and site performance.
Business consulting and strategy
- Work with stakeholders to support both immediate and long-range category plans.
- Perform opportunity assessment and create action plans driven by insights for different business categories.
- Contribute to Global Navigation efforts by finding ways to enhance customer journeys and online experience.
Requirements
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level.
- Good working knowledge of SQL, including the ability to answer conceptual and technical SQL questions accurately.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or comparable tools.
- Familiarity with Adobe Analytics and/or Google Analytics.
- At least 2 years of experience in Business Analytics, Digital Analytics, E-commerce Analytics, or a related area.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
