Clinical Assistant

About the Role

Connections in Ohio, Inc. is looking for a dedicated and well-organized Clinical Assistant to provide valuable support in managing medication, scheduling medical appointments, and addressing health and safety needs for clients with developmental delays. The role requires excellent time management, prioritization skills, and accurate client documentation within a dynamic work setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver medication and ensure its proper management for clients served by the organization.
• Schedule and facilitate clients’ medical appointments and transport clients to these appointments.
• Maintain effective communication with healthcare providers including physicians, pharmacies, and therapists to coordinate client care.
• Be available on an "on call" basis for medical-related issues within the assigned caseload, including potential evenings and weekends.
• Travel up to 75% within Cuyahoga County to perform duties such as medication delivery and client transportation.

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or an equivalent credential as per applicable local regulations.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines related to client wellness tasks.
• Knowledge and understanding of medication administration and health-related activities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in using iPhone, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office applications including OneDrive, Excel, Word, Google Calendar, with ability to manage calls and texts.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with no more than 4 points on driving record.
• Possession of a safe and dependable vehicle with at least state minimum auto insurance covering that vehicle.
