Role Overview
The Clinical Data Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the clinical data management process by executing fundamental data management tasks for assigned clinical studies. Key responsibilities include ensuring data accuracy, validity, and compliance with established procedures, sponsor requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines. This role contributes to the department's and organization’s overall goals and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing essential clinical data management documentation throughout all stages of clinical trials, including start-up, maintenance, and closeout phases.
- Support basic testing activities for clinical trial databases and edit checks.
- Conduct data reviews and generate queries to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Perform data entry and update databases to rectify errors as needed.
- Assist with generating SAS requests and review associated report outputs.
- Support data transfer preparation and verify the outputs of these transfers.
- Participate in finalizing and transferring clinical trial databases and related project documentation to the sponsor.
- Ensure all approved study documentation is properly maintained and filed within the trial master files.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Data Management and the broader organization through knowledge sharing, training, and education.
- Act as an internal and external advocate for Clinical Data Management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Completion of a one-to-two-year post-secondary certification in a relevant field or one to three years of related experience coupled with ongoing training.
- Strong self-motivation paired with excellent communication skills and a dedication to achieving positive outcomes.
- Meticulous attention to detail and an understanding of the value of collaborative relationships to drive results.
- A commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and fostering effective teamwork.
Additional Information
Work Location: London, Ontario (Hybrid/Remote)
Salary Range: $41,000 - $68,000 CAD annually
Reporting to: Manager, Clinical Data Management Support
