About the team

Swiggy Dineout is working to become India’s biggest dining-out discovery and payments platform. It already serves more than 100 million diners through a network of over 21,000 restaurant partners across 34 cities, and the platform continues to expand. The goal is to make eating out simpler and more rewarding by helping customers discover restaurants across categories such as QSRs, cafes, casual dining, premium dining, and fine dining, while also offering attractive bill discounts and smooth app-based payments. If you enjoy food and want to help reshape how India dines out, this team may be a strong fit.

Dineout operates in 34 Indian cities and works with 21,000+ restaurant partners. Customers can save up to 40% on their dining bills when they pay through the dine-out feature on the Swiggy app.

Work mode

This is an office/field role. Team members are expected to work from the office every day from their respective base location.

Role overview

The Cluster Manager will regularly oversee onboarding and account management activities on the ground. The person in this role will meet key accounts frequently to understand partner sentiment, their willingness to invest, and their growth ambitions so the business can expand. The role also involves handling partner questions and objections, helping the frontline team achieve targets, and reviewing team performance at regular intervals with actionable feedback for improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Review the profit and loss of top restaurant partners to help them identify what is working well, what is being missed, and how revenue expectations and investment capacity are shaping performance.
  • Define the commercial arrangement between Swiggy and both existing and new accounts, and suggest changes or revisions when required, including seasonal updates or mutually agreed modifications.
  • Share insights that help partners take corrective steps and unlock growth by activating the right business levers.
  • Engage with competitors’ major accounts to understand rival actions and recommend suitable countermeasures.
  • Monitor daily salesmate activity and physical meetings completed by each sales point of contact.
  • Track weekly portfolio and city-level account growth or decline, and identify the underlying reasons behind the movement.
  • Assess outlets with low counter share on the platform and build growth plans with the sales point of contact to raise them to target levels.
  • Track daily performance against key metrics such as Ads RPO for assigned accounts.
  • Share execution plans with the team, including timelines and key success parameters.
  • Ensure the team executes initiatives needed to meet individual P&L line items such as advertisements, RPO targets, and marketing activities, while keeping a close watch on progress.
  • Promote direct field engagement and coach team members on expected standards and best practices.
  • Coordinate with partner support, sales operations, and finance for matters such as discount changes, restaurant display pages, competition comparison data, festival data, payment reconciliation, GST queries, and unpaid partner credits.
  • Understand Dineout offerings and growth drivers deeply.
  • Work with restaurant operating hours, Ads revenue per order, Commission Revenue per order, AOV, and other core business metrics.
  • Use partner-app features and understand the user interface.
  • Work with dashboards and tools such as CMS, Power BI, Compass, and Salesmate.
  • Analyse conversion funnels across week-wise, month-wise, and day-wise transactions, denial rates, supply metrics, and competitive benchmarks.

Requirements

  • A graduate degree with 4 to 6 years of field sales experience.
  • Fluency in the local language and working knowledge of English.
  • Exposure to e-commerce operations and online marketing channels.
  • A confident, approachable, and proactive personality with a strong sales mindset.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with different kinds of people.
  • Comfort with analysis and strong Excel capability.
  • Flexibility to work around restaurant operating schedules rather than a fixed 9-to-5 routine.
  • Leadership and influencing ability to build and use relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Planning-oriented thinking with the ability to drive results through structured execution.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to respond to change with practical solutions.
  • Creativity, initiative, and the drive to introduce improvements that help the business grow.
  • A collaborative attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.
