Community Engagement Lead - Developer Ecosystem

About the Role

The Developer Relations Lead will spearhead efforts to cultivate meaningful relationships with developers, engineers, technical founders, and various technology communities worldwide. A primary focus includes designing and executing hackathons, workshops, and community programs that engage developers technically and socially. Collaboration with product, engineering, marketing, and events teams is critical to build engaging experiences that encourage experimentation and innovation among developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and guide the global developer relations and community engagement strategy.
• Plan and oversee both virtual and physical hackathons, managing program design, partnerships, logistics, participant involvement, and follow-up activities.
• Forge and sustain strong connections with software engineers, technical founders, open-source contributors, and developer groups.
• Motivate developer participation and collect feedback to offer practical insights to product and engineering units.
• Create comprehensive technical materials, including guides, tutorials, sample projects, and API documentation.
• Conduct workshops, deliver technical presentations, and facilitate community sessions.
• Serve as the company’s representative at major technology events such as conferences and meetups.
• Maintain active engagement across relevant developer platforms and online communities.
• Monitor and report on developer program metrics including participation, engagement, project quality, and community expansion.

Key Requirements

• Minimum five years' experience in Developer Relations, Advocacy, Evangelism, Community Engineering, or similar roles.
• Demonstrated success organizing hackathons, developer events, technical workshops, or community initiatives.
• Well-established network within developer, engineering, or tech startup ecosystems.
• Strong technical expertise coupled with effective communication skills with engineers and technical leaders.
• Experience working with APIs, including building or troubleshooting simple integrations and sample applications.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship management capabilities.
• Strong project management skills to handle multiple programs, partners, and schedules.
• Willingness to travel internationally for conferences, hackathons, and community engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background as a software engineer or similar technical position.
• Experience in AI, Web3, cloud infrastructure, open-source technologies, or related sectors.
• Active personal engagement within the developer community through speaking, content creation, open source contributions, or online presence.
• Experience with global developer communities and international technology events.
