Construction Labourer

Role overview

Belfort Construction is looking for a dependable Construction Labourer to support a range of building projects in Bradford, Ontario. The role is suited to someone who is physically active, willing to learn on the job, and comfortable working alongside experienced tradespeople to help keep construction work moving efficiently.

What you will do

• Help prepare worksites by unloading materials and arranging equipment.
• Assist carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other skilled workers with their day-to-day tasks.
• Handle general site duties such as digging, lifting, and moving supplies and materials.
• Keep the job site tidy and safe by removing debris and putting tools away properly.
• Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment consistently.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment when needed.
• Support the installation of construction elements while working under supervision.
• Carry out basic upkeep on tools and equipment so they remain in working order.

What we are looking for

• Completion of high school is an advantage, though it is not mandatory.
• Some exposure to construction or other manual work is helpful, but not essential because training will be provided.
• Ability to manage physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
• A strong sense of responsibility, along with consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to follow directions carefully.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
• Interest in learning new skills and adapting to changing project requirements.
• A valid driver’s licence is beneficial, but not required.

Additional information

This is a full-time, on-site position. Compensation is $18.67 to $25.00 per hour. The role is intended for motivated individuals who want practical construction experience in a supportive environment and the chance to grow within the trade.
