Role overview
We are looking for an experienced and highly detail-focused Contracts Manager to work from the project site in Dubai, UAE. This position oversees contracts across their entire journey, starting from award and continuing through execution, performance, and closeout. The aim of the role is to keep client and subcontract obligations on track, stay aligned with regulations, reduce commercial exposure, and protect project margins.
Core responsibilities
- Handle all post-award contract administration for utility-scale, commercial, and industrial solar EPC assignments.
- Review and interpret EPC agreements, subcontract terms, purchase orders, and consortium or joint-venture arrangements.
- Monitor compliance with contractual commitments, deadlines, deliverables, and notice provisions.
- Keep contract trackers, correspondence records, and all supporting contractual files well maintained.
- Draft, submit, and manage claims.
- Drive the timely preparation and approval of variation orders and related commercial impacts.
- Conduct negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers on contract-related issues.
- Contribute to dispute prevention and resolution planning.
- Spot, evaluate, and control contractual risks and business opportunities during project delivery.
- Support risk reviews and help prepare mitigation measures.
- Apply understanding of relevant technical disciplines within the industry.
- Assist project teams in interpreting contract terms and making commercial decisions.
- Take part in project review sessions and discussions with clients.
- Track contractual KPIs, payment milestones, guarantees, and warranty obligations.
- Use knowledge of construction activities to evaluate related risk implications.
- Work confidently with MS Office tools, including Word and Excel.
Experience and education
The role calls for 10 to 12 years of experience in contracts management, ideally within solar EPC, renewable energy, or infrastructure projects. A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Law, Commerce, or Business Administration is required. A postgraduate qualification in Contract Management or Construction Law will be considered an added advantage. Familiarity with FIDIC forms of contract and international EPC contracting structures is important, along with strong post-contract experience.
