Customer Service Representative

Role Overview

U-Haul seeks engaging and motivated Customer Service Representatives to join their team in Athens, GA. This role focuses on delivering outstanding service by assisting customers, inspecting equipment, and managing rentals using modern technology. Responsibilities

• Support customers both inside and outside the U-Haul centers with product and service inquiries.
• Utilize smartphone-based U-Scan technology for rental and inventory management.
• Operate and connect U-Haul trucks and trailers as needed.
• Perform regular cleaning and functionality inspections of equipment, including fluid checks.
• Provide clear explanations and guidance about products and services to customers.
• Prepare rental agreements and process equipment returns.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring components.
• Fill propane tanks, with certification provided by U-Haul post-employment.
• Operate forklifts after obtaining certification through U-Haul.
• Carry out other assigned tasks responsibly.
• Engage in continuous education via the U-Haul University platform.

Minimum Qualifications

• Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

The role involves moderate safety risks such as working near machinery and exposure to fumes, requiring the use of personal protective equipment like masks, gloves, goggles, or shields. Physical demands include standing for prolonged periods, moving indoors and outdoors, reaching objects at different heights, and handling equipment weighing at least 50 pounds, with or without assistance.
