Overview
The Customer Service Representative role involves being the main contact point for patients and attorneys to address billing queries and resolve related issues.

Primary Responsibilities
- Respond to incoming inquiries via phone from patients, attorneys, insurance providers, resolving problems and addressing questions about bills.
- Support Patient Liaison duties and related patient service issues.
- Maintain up-to-date familiarity with payer and state regulations as well as client details.
- Provide hands-on training for existing Patient Services staff and assist with onboarding new hires by demonstrating job responsibilities.
- Handle special projects and callbacks as assigned by the Department Director.
- Act as a resource contact for other patient services representatives and assist with supervisor-level calls and internal initiatives.
- Process all affidavits, subpoenas, and assist with IDG form processing.
- Adhere strictly to information systems security policies and participate in required security training, reporting issues as needed.
- Follow all company policies and perform additional duties as requested.
Qualifications and Skills
- Flexibility and a strong drive for performance, able to quickly learn and consistently meet departmental objectives and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Patient Services policies and procedures.
- Experience with Embillz billing system.
- Good knowledge of medical insurance terminology and HIPAA compliance requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with a pleasant and team-oriented demeanor.
Educational Requirements
A High School diploma or GED is mandatory for this role.
