Role Overview

The Data Analyst role at Ampacity is centered on technology-driven data management and reporting. This role involves collaborating with various business units to convert operational needs into precise data requirements, delivering insightful dashboards, automated reports, and actionable analyses. The position emphasizes working with modern cloud platforms and integration tools to ensure data integrity and facilitate timely decision-making across departments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a proactive analytics partner by transforming inquiries and challenges into sustainable data-driven solutions.
• Create and oversee Power BI dashboards, semantic models, and automated reports that enhance visibility into operational and financial metrics.
• Utilize SQL extensively to extract, verify, and reconcile data from diverse sources to maintain reporting accuracy and consistency.
• Support data pipeline validation and integration across cloud platforms, ERP systems, and third-party APIs.
• Standardize and document key performance indicators, dataset logic, and reporting methodologies to establish a unified data source.
• Develop executive scorecards, operational dashboards, and self-service reporting features using Power BI.
• Optimize SQL queries to support analysis, reporting datasets, and ensure data quality through validation and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with department stakeholders to gather and prioritize reporting requirements and clarify definitions.
• Manage cloud-based data services to facilitate data ingestion, transformation, and timely updates.
• Conduct end-to-end testing and troubleshooting of data integrations using iPaaS platforms.
• Perform ad-hoc data analysis including variance analysis, trend identification, and exception reporting, delivering findings in a clear manner.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding metrics, data sources, refresh processes, and dashboard instructions.
• Adapt and evolve responsibilities based on shifting business priorities.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with SQL and either Python or R programming languages; advanced expertise in Excel.
• Minimum of two years' experience developing Power BI dashboards and automated reports, proficient in DAX, Power Query, and SQL.
• Experience building ETL or ELT data pipelines and integrating data via APIs and connected systems.
• Strong analytical capabilities including forecasting, trend analysis, data mining, and detection of anomalies.
• Exceptional communication skills to translate business questions into technical solutions and present insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Preferred experience with Azure data services such as Azure Blob Storage and Azure Data Factory or equivalent cloud ETL and storage platforms.

• Competitive salary range between $70,000 and $80,000 annually.
