Data Engineer

About the Role

Aarorn Technologies Inc is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join their team in Toronto, ON. This contract position requires working onsite four days a week and offers a pay rate of CAD 50 per hour. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and platforms, ensuring data solutions are efficient and reliable.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and sustain scalable data pipelines tailored for varying data types.
• Architect and enhance ETL/ELT workflows that handle both structured and unstructured datasets.
• Design and manage data warehouses and modeling frameworks.
• Work in close partnership with business units and technical teams to grasp data requirements thoroughly.
• Maintain high standards of data quality, integrity, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Improve performance of databases and optimize queries for efficiency.
• Provide support for reporting, analytics, and business intelligence projects.
• Diagnose and fix issues related to data management and processing.

Requirements and Skills

• Proficient in data engineering principles and modern practices.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python programming.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience in building and maintaining data warehouses and data models.
• Ability to manage and optimize data pipelines effectively.
