Position Overview
Join Tipton Health as our Data Services Manager and become the essential data expert guiding nursing leaders—Chief Nursing Officers, nursing directors, and their teams—in transforming nursing data into compelling evidence. This role focuses on supporting frameworks for nursing excellence, addressing workforce challenges, and demonstrating the value of outstanding nursing environments and care quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a reliable data consultant to nursing leadership, interpreting their objectives into impactful, actionable insights.
- Assist clients in tracking and validating progress related to Magnet®, Pathway to Excellence®, and similar national frameworks, including nurse-sensitive quality metrics and RN engagement benchmarks.
- Conduct workforce analytics involving turnover rates, vacancies, retention, staffing, and engagement to help leaders navigate current healthcare market pressures.
- Translate complex datasets into visual charts, dashboards, and narratives, delivering clear presentations ranging from unit-level staff to executive boardrooms.
- Develop and maintain Tipton's proprietary datasets, benchmarks, and methodologies, creating scalable, repeatable data products.
- Leverage automation and AI technologies to enhance efficiency, accelerate turnaround, and improve report consistency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in Business Development, Consulting, Certification & Validation, and support mentoring of Data Services team members.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree is mandatory; a Master's in nursing, health administration, data analytics, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Minimum of five years' experience in healthcare, ideally with a focus on healthcare data analysis.
- Familiarity with Magnet®, Pathway to Excellence®, and nurse-sensitive quality indicators is advantageous.
- Strong analytical capabilities with proven success in producing executive-level data insights.
- Skilled in delivering presentations to senior management.
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office applications; experience in Power BI and/or Tableau dashboard creation preferred.
- Background in survey design, administration, and analytic methodologies.
- Certification such as Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt is desirable; experience in consulting and project management tools like Wrike is a plus.
- Comfortable applying automation and AI tools within analytics and reporting environments.
- Demonstrates a collaborative and engaging communication style and is dedicated to supporting nursing leadership and their teams.

Additional Information
- This is a fully remote opportunity with occasional travel required.
- Salary range offered between $100,000 and $125,000 annually.
