Job Description

Diversified Maintenance is currently recruiting a Janitor to handle comprehensive cleaning and upkeep of designated areas within buildings or multiple client locations. Responsibilities are flexible to match client needs and may vary.

Work Schedule and Compensation

This position offers $13 hourly wages and requires availability Monday through Sunday, from 6 AM to 11 AM.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Use chemical cleaners and power equipment carefully to avoid surface damage.
• Keep restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrances clean and stocked.
• Dispose of trash properly and operate compactors when necessary.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with appropriate methods.
• Perform spot cleaning of carpets; assist with carpet shampooing and extraction.
• Replenish paper and sanitary products regularly.
• Adhere to the cleaning schedule consistently.
• Occasionally operate heavy cleaning machines like scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned based on scope or client requirements.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or at least six months of relevant janitorial experience.
• Training will be provided on the job.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Capability to follow instructions accurately.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial roles.
• Knowledge of custodial standards and commercial cleaning practices.
• Understanding of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing.
• Experience with industrial cleaning or facility maintenance.
