Deli Assistant

Job Overview

This part-time position is focused on preparing high-quality hot and cold deli items while ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction is maintained. The role is based in Knock, County Mayo, Ireland, at Centra.

Main Responsibilities

• Uphold Centra's brand values of being Proud, Energetic, Imaginative, and Community-Based.
• Prepare and assemble customer orders from all fresh food sections, including making sandwiches and rolls, serving hot food, and slicing meats using store-specific portion control standards.
• Cook, prepare, and present deli foods for sale throughout the daily operational hours.
• Maintain exceptional quality and appearance of all fresh food display counters consistently during the day.
• Express passion for quality food by sharing knowledge, recipes, and recommendations with customers to enhance their experience.
• Address customer questions and concerns efficiently, professionally, and in accordance with the store's policy.

Candidates Profile

• HACCP training is preferred though not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Prior experience in customer service is advantageous.
• Capability to work effectively within a fast-moving team environment and multi-task under pressure.
• A genuine enthusiasm for food and the ability to engage and inspire customers.
