About the Role
Become the key Supply & Demand Planner for a luxury retail brand servicing the APAC market from Dublin City Centre in a hybrid work arrangement. You will be accountable for creating precise demand forecasts, optimizing inventory levels, and supporting comprehensive planning efforts. Collaborating closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams, your goal is to ensure product availability aligns seamlessly with market demands while reducing inventory risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and continuously update sales forecasts for current product ranges using market analysis, past sales patterns, and business insights.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to predict demand for new product introductions and integrate these into consolidated demand plans.
- Serve as the liaison between local and regional planning teams to maintain forecast consistency.
- Oversee product lifecycle planning, including managing product phase-ins and phase-outs while assessing new product impacts on demand.
- Engage in regular forecast assessments, participate in budgetary and long-term planning processes.
- Track and analyse key forecasting performance indicators such as forecast accuracy and service levels.
- Promote ongoing enhancements in forecasting techniques, planning models, and systems.
- Maintain an integrated forecasting process adaptable to specific market needs.
- Set and monitor inventory targets to meet agreed customer service standards.
- Calculate monthly supply requirements to maintain inventory and service goals.
- Oversee supply planning, production scheduling, inventory control, and service level metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
- Work cross-functionally to reduce inventory risks, minimize obsolete stock, and support fiscal objectives.
- Coordinate planning priorities among Demand, Supply, Distribution, Commercial, and Finance departments.
- Support the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to align supply and demand.
- Ensure effective supply planning for successful new product launches.
- Lead end-of-life planning initiatives to reduce excess stock and minimize write-offs.
Required Background and Skills
- A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
- Approximately 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Demand or Supply Planning, or similar roles.
- Proficient analytical and numerical abilities to interpret extensive datasets accurately.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Power BI or comparable reporting platforms.
- Solid understanding of demand planning methodologies and principles of inventory management.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with a focus on process improvements and development of analytical tools.
- Excellent communication skills enabling effective influence across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Experience working in matrixed or international organizations is beneficial.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Chinese or experience with APAC markets is highly advantageous.
