About the Role
This position is integral to the successful delivery of major projects by managing documentation across their lifecycle. The role is based in Perth within a dynamic team focusing on resources, renewables, utilities, and various infrastructure sectors. The Document Controller will collaborate closely with the national Document Control team and a remote team in the Philippines, supporting multidisciplinary project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Document Control Lead in deploying project document control systems, workflows, and procedures.
- Handle daily document control tasks related to project design and vendor information management.
- Register, quality-check, track revisions, and distribute both electronic and physical documents, ensuring comprehensive traceability throughout the document lifecycle.
- Create and update document distribution plans and matrices.
- Manage coordination of project-related internal and external reviews and approvals to align with delivery schedules.
- Generate reports monitoring status, tracking progress, and expediting internal and external deliverables.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Between two to six years of relevant document control experience, preferably within Resources or Engineering sectors.
- Proficient with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS); familiarity with tools such as Bentley ProjectWise, ACC Former, Aconex, ProCore, or InEight (TeamBinder) is beneficial.
- Capacity to flexibly prioritize tasks across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication abilities paired with exceptional organizational and attention to detail skills.
- Intermediate expertise in MS Office applications, especially Excel registers and reporting, Word formatting, and Outlook management alongside Bluebeam and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
