About the Role and Our Airports
Join the team at Leipzig/Halle and Dresden Airports, serving over three million passengers annually with routes across Europe, Africa, and Asia. Key Responsibilities
- Enhance, manage, and ensure an effective EASA Safety Management System (SMS) at Dresden Airport.
- Oversee process management, reporting, procedural documentation, quality assurance, and coordinate safety audits.
- Conduct risk and hazard assessments, followed by implementing, tracking, and monitoring appropriate corrective actions.
- Guarantee compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, especially those mandated by EASA, ICAO, and aviation laws.
- Analyze and improve operational processes related to safety management with consideration of safety and economic priorities.
- Maintain and develop the Safety Management digital tools and related processes.
- Lead Safety Committees, organize safety training sessions, and provide expert counsel and reports to the executive management.
- Maintain safety-relevant content within the Airport Manual and contribute to ensuring conformity with EASA regulations.
Candidate Profile
- Degree from a university or technical college focused on aviation or an equivalent qualification.
- Alternatively, relevant vocational training coupled with extensive professional experience in the aviation sector.
- Strong knowledge of airport operations, aviation law, EASA regulations, and ICAO standards.
- Prior experience in safety management, security management, or quality management is advantageous.
- Analytical mindset with structured working skills and the capability to confidently assess complex matters.
- Demonstrated high responsibility, independence, and reliability.
- Excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and assertiveness.
