Job Overview
We are seeking highly motivated Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs) to facilitate the loading and unloading processes of rail racks at food grain silo terminals. Trainees will engage in supervising daily operations to ensure efficient and safe material handling, maintaining comprehensive documentation, and collaborating closely with railway officials and contractors to guarantee smooth workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading activities for rail racks at silo terminal facilities.
- Oversee wagon positioning, manage loading/unloading progress, and monitor dispatch timelines.
- Coordinate effectively with railway personnel, operators, and contractors to maintain seamless operations.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines and established operational procedures.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, stock inventories, and required documentation.
- Supervise manpower allocation and optimize equipment usage.
- Identify and report operational challenges, contributing to resolving delays.
- Support activities related to inventory reconciliation and material movement tracking.
- Engage in learning and applying process improvements to boost operational efficiency.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or similar fields.
- Experience Level: Recent graduates or individuals with up to 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and coordination skills are essential.
- Basic proficiency with MS Excel and MS Office applications.
- Willingness to work in shifts and travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Skills
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Adaptability to fast-paced operational settings.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and exhibit a proactive approach.
- Fundamental understanding of railway logistics or warehouse operation processes is a plus.
