Flight Operations Officer

About the Role

We are seeking Flight Operations Officers to join our pioneering aerospace company located in Dubai South. This is a full-time position involving a rotating shift schedule. You will be instrumental in establishing flight operations for an innovative aircraft category, with no existing procedures or legacy constraints. Responsibilities include flight planning, weather and airspace analysis, preparing briefing documents, supporting dispatch, and monitoring ongoing flights. This high-pressure role demands clear writing, independent thinking, and confident decision-making without close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, lawful, and efficient flight operations from the control center.
• Create detailed flight plans considering weather, NOTAMs, and airspace restrictions.
• Prepare comprehensive pre-flight briefing packages.
• Assist dispatch teams and ensure adherence to performance limits and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee flights in progress and coordinate management of diversions, delays, and irregular operations.
• Maintain precise and thorough operational documentation and records.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in flight operations.
• Strong knowledge of flight planning, meteorology, aircraft performance, navigation, and aviation law.
• Exceptional documentation and report-writing skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Accurate and detail-oriented in flight planning and fuel calculations.
• Effective communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Experience handling multiple flight operations functions is advantageous.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic early-stage operational environment with minimal supervision.

Additional Information

This is a foundational role in a rapidly growing aerospace firm, supported by significant capital investment. The operational team is expected to expand to over 400 positions. Early hires will have opportunities to evolve into leadership roles, including team lead and Chief Pilot positions.
