General Manager

Position Overview

This role is with a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee licensed to use McDonald's branding and products. Note that the franchisee is a distinct business from McDonald's USA and solely manages employment decisions including hiring, staffing, and supervision.

Role Summary

The General Manager is accountable for running a profitable restaurant that consistently meets McDonald's high standards in quality, service, and cleanliness. This leadership position involves goal setting with their superior and devising strategies to achieve these objectives.

Key Responsibilities

The General Manager oversees a team of Department Managers, guiding them to set departmental targets, monitoring progress, and delivering coaching to enhance overall performance. The role also includes recruitment and development of Department and Shift Managers to sustain a capable leadership team.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience in managing high-volume general manager roles, especially within quick service restaurants, hospitality, or retail sectors, is highly preferred. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to qualify for management positions in corporate restaurants.
