General Manager - Projects (Renovations)

About the Role

Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited is seeking a seasoned General Manager to oversee the refurbishment, renovation, and upgrading of its resort properties. This pivotal position involves comprehensive responsibility for managing large-scale renovation projects to enhance the guest experience across the portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of resort renovation and refurbishment initiatives from planning through execution.
• Manage all aspects of project budgets, schedules, quality benchmarks, and alignment with stakeholder expectations.
• Collaborate effectively with architects, consultants, contractors, procurement personnel, and resort operations teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Implement value engineering strategies, optimize costs, and maintain rigorous project governance throughout execution.
• Minimize operational disruption at resorts during renovation phases to uphold guest satisfaction.
• Ensure all projects comply strictly with safety regulations, statutory requirements, and brand standards.
• Deliver consistent updates and reports on project status to senior management and leadership.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 15 years of extensive experience in project management specializing in renovations, fit-outs, hospitality projects, or construction and design disciplines.
• Substantial background managing projects in hotels, resorts, hospitality infrastructure, mixed-use developments, or upscale commercial properties.
• Demonstrated success record in leading large refurbishment and renovation assignments.
• Strong leadership capabilities coupled with excellent skills in stakeholder engagement and team coordination.
• Educational qualifications preferably include degrees in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related fields.
