About the Role

BCforward is on the lookout for a talented Graphic Designer to join their team remotely on a contract basis for approximately 4 months, with possible extensions. The position entails a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week and primarily involves designing high-quality templates, presentations, documents, and workbooks using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. The ideal candidate is a meticulous designer who can blend strong visual storytelling with practical production skills, ensuring polished, accessible, and scalable content that adheres to Microsoft 365 standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and develop polished, reusable templates and design components for PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, and Excel workbooks.
• Construct clear, visually engaging layouts and visual systems that accommodate diverse customer use cases.
• Ensure consistent formatting, alignment, spacing, accessibility, and overall quality across all files.
• Translate creative briefs and content needs into practical, customer-ready design templates.
• Support production workflows by editing, creating, and quality checking files within Microsoft 365 applications.
• Collaborate closely with content teams, fellow designers, and product partners to incorporate feedback and enhance template quality.
• Maintain strict attention to file usability, accessibility, and cross-platform presentation fidelity.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Between 2 to 4 years of professional graphic design experience, backed by a portfolio demonstrating expertise in layout, typography, composition, and visual design.
• Proficient in designing documents, presentations, and workbooks across Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Well-versed in template design principles, presentation design, document layout, and workbook formatting.
• Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite and skilled in design software tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Familiarity with AI tools like Microsoft Copilot or comparable platforms to integrate AI effectively while maintaining human oversight.
• Ability to interpret creative directions, efficiently apply feedback, and manage multiple projects ensuring consistent quality.
• Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing customer-facing templates or business content for a broad audience.
• Knowledge of accessibility best practices for presentations, documents, and spreadsheets.
• Background in working within established brand guidelines and design systems.
• Strong production discipline focused on file organization, formatting precision, and quality assurance.
• Comfortable in dynamic environments with shifting priorities and iterative feedback cycles.

Additional Details

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with content teams to produce various Microsoft 365 content focusing on design variety, guideline adherence, and effective storytelling. The role demands adaptability to changing priorities and the ability to manage deliverables aligned with product timelines.

Terms and Conditions

This opening is a contract role with a lasting duration of 4 months and the possibility of extension. The anticipated start date is immediate or as soon as possible, but subject to change with official notification. Compensation ranges from $25 to $30 per hour on a W2 basis. Employment at BCforward is at-will, and candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
