Group Financial Controller

About the Role

ACCPRO is collaborating with a prominent global manufacturing organization to fill the position of Group Financial Controller, based in their Midlands office. This contract role lasts between 12 to 15 months and offers a salary around €120,000 annually. The role requires the candidate to be onsite twice weekly.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage financial operations across various company locations.
• Compile and evaluate financial statements monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
• Supervise budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to financial laws, organizational policies, and reporting standards.
• Assist in budgeting, financial planning activities, and cost assessments.
• Collaborate closely with senior leadership to deliver insightful financial advice.
• Liaise with external auditors and financial consultants.
• Lead and support the finance department to maintain superior performance levels.
• Identify and implement enhancements in financial processes and controls.
• Partner with different business units to aid key projects and initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a professional accounting certification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or an equivalent qualification.
• Has held senior finance or financial controller roles previously.
• Thorough understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
• Experience managing or leading finance teams effectively.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and ability to manage stakeholders efficiently.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.
• Capable of working autonomously while juggling multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
