Role Overview
The HSSE Project Manager will be accountable for steering Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental programs across assigned projects. The position focuses on ensuring that all project activities comply with legal requirements, client expectations, and internal policies while strengthening a preventive safety mindset throughout the project lifecycle.
This role covers HSSE planning, hazard and risk control, incident prevention, inspections, investigations, reporting, audits, and ongoing improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and roll out project-specific HSSE plans, processes, and work instructions.
- Identify hazards, assess risks, and verify that mitigation measures are working effectively.
- Carry out routine site checks and record observations, findings, and follow-up actions.
- Direct incident reviews and make sure corrective actions are completed and closed out.
- Conduct HSSE training, briefings, and awareness activities for project teams and contractors.
- Monitor HSSE performance indicators and compile regular management reports.
- Keep emergency response arrangements up to date and organize drills and readiness exercises.
- Confirm that contractors meet all HSSE obligations and site safety requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a closely related discipline is required.
- Applicants should have 5 to 10 years of HSSE experience in project-based environments.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or ISO 45001/14001 Lead Auditor are preferred.
- Working knowledge of Saudi regulations along with international HSSE standards is essential.
