Role Purpose
We are currently looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to manage employee relations and daily HR operations supporting our multi-state clinical and operational teams. This role reports directly to the CHRO and acts as a trusted resource for employees and managers by addressing employee relations matters, HR policy inquiries, benefits, leave management, and background checks. This opportunity is ideal for an HR professional with practical experience in handling employee relations who wants to embrace wide-ranging HR responsibilities within a growing healthcare company.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main liaison for employees and managers on employee relations issues, inquiries about HR policies, and workplace concerns.
- Conduct investigations and resolve employee relations challenges including complaints, conflicts, and disciplinary actions.
- Offer guidance and coaching to managers on performance reviews, corrective measures, and conflict mediation.
- Provide frontline support for general HR questions and direct complex issues to appropriate HR partners.
- Serve as a resource for information about employee benefits such as enrollment, eligibility, and claims support.
- Enhance and maintain self-service HR resources to improve employee access to information.
- Assist with managing leaves of absence and facilitating return-to-work processes.
- Support the administration of background checks.
- Maintain confidential and accurate HR documentation including employee relations case files, leave records, and background check data.
- Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of HR and personnel systems data, maintaining audit readiness.
- Promote consistent HR policy implementation across various departments and geographic locations.
- Monitor trends in employee relations and advise the CHRO on emerging risks or training needs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Carry out additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
- At least three years of professional HR experience, specifically with handling employee relations cases.
- Solid working knowledge of employment laws such as FMLA, ADA, EEO, and relevant state leave legislation, coupled with best HR practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of managing sensitive matters with discretion and judgment.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Competent in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS platforms and benefits systems is advantageous.
- Preference given to candidates with 1-2 years of healthcare HR experience.
- HR certification is desirable but not mandatory.
