Hygiene Night Operator

Role Overview

Barfoots is expanding and offers an exciting opportunity to join our food production team as a Hygiene Night Operator. This full-time role involves maintaining stringent hygiene standards across production machinery, plant, and facilities during night shifts operating on a four-days-on, four-days-off 12-hour rotation pattern.

Key Responsibilities

• Thorough cleaning of production areas and all related equipment ensuring deep hygiene standards.
• Accurate maintenance of cleaning records at all times.
• Upholding a safe working environment throughout the shift.
• Ensuring hygiene tools are clean, well-maintained, and properly stored.
• Correct storage and handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Documenting and reporting any hygiene or food safety issues promptly.
• Adhering to COSHH regulations as well as all health, safety, and company policies.
• Supporting hygiene team members to achieve collective goals.
• Contributing to ongoing improvements in hygiene practices.

Required Skills and Experience

• Previous experience performing cleaning duties within a hygiene-sensitive environment.
• Good communication skills to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to collaborate and function effectively as part of a team.
• Knowledge of the fresh food sector is advantageous but not essential.
• CIEH Food Safety Level 2 qualification is desirable.
