Role Summary

The Information Technology Project Manager will be based full-time on-site in Kabul Province, Afghanistan. This key role acts as the primary liaison between clients and Sadat Tech’s development teams, ensuring clear communication of client needs and effective project execution. Responsibilities include conducting video meetings with clients to collect and clarify requirements, converting these into detailed technical tasks, breaking down projects into manageable parts, overseeing task assignments, progress tracking, and problem resolution. The role demands diligent schedule management, timely delivery of projects, and cultivating trusted client relationships throughout the engagement.

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as the main contact for clients, conducting online video discussions to accurately capture their requirements and expectations.
• Document and analyze project needs, converting them into precise specifications and clear tasks for developers.
• Decompose larger projects into structured milestones and assign them appropriately to development resources.
• Clearly communicate task priorities and requirements to the development team, ensuring common understanding.
• Manage project schedules, monitor progress across multiple initiatives, and oversee deliverables to ensure deadlines are met.
• Anticipate risks and obstructions proactively and lead collaboration efforts to resolve issues swiftly.
• Provide transparent and regular status updates to both clients and internal teams detailing progress and subsequent actions.
• Foster collaboration among clients, developers, designers, and cross-functional teams to drive project success.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and contribute to enhancing workflows and quality of delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to build client trust and manage relationships professionally.
• Fluency in English is essential for client-facing communication; fluency in Pashto or Dari is required for internal team collaboration.
• Proven ability to accurately interpret client needs and translate them into actionable project plans.
• Strong organizational capabilities in planning, task prioritization, and managing multiple deadlines under pressure.
• Effective at coordinating teams, delegating tasks clearly, and maintaining alignment across diverse functions.
• Experience with project management and collaboration platforms such as Jira, Trello, ClickUp, Asana, or Notion and video conferencing tools like Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams.
• Detail-oriented problem-solver with a proactive and solution-driven approach.
• Commitment to full-time, on-site work in Kabul Province, Afghanistan.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in roles such as Project Manager, Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Client/Account Manager within software or IT environments.
• Understanding of software development processes including Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Technical knowledge enabling effective communication of technical concepts between clients and developers.
• Experience dealing with international clients or within consulting, enterprise, or agency sectors.
• Relevant certifications like PMP, Certified Scrum Master, or Agile/Scrum credentials.
