Position Overview
We are inviting applications for a dedicated, customer-oriented Internal Sales Representative to enhance our CustomerLink team based in Penrose, Auckland. This role primarily involves delivering telephone-based customer support, ensuring the precision of order processing, and promptly handling queries. You will act as a pivotal contact for product, pricing, and technical guidance, facilitating smooth order fulfillment and outstanding customer experiences.
This full-time role operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, perfect for candidates who thrive under pressure, enjoy problem-solving, and prioritize exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver timely, precise customer service over the phone, sharing product, pricing, and technical details.
- Accurately log and oversee customer orders via SAP, ensuring punctual completion.
- Respond to enquiries within one hour and handle customer credits within 24 hours.
- Maintain excellent accuracy standards, minimize order-entry mistakes, and manage calls effectively.
- Utilize Salesforce to manage cases and maintain comprehensive customer interaction records.
- Conduct monthly outbound calls to Key Account clients to reinforce relationships and discover new opportunities.
- Identify potential upsell chances and suggest valuable product enhancements.
- Assist in running promotional campaigns and collect customer feedback for ongoing improvement.
- Partner with Sales, Logistics, Technical, and CustomerLink teams to resolve issues promptly and provide outstanding support.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least two years of experience in customer service, internal sales, or call center environments, ideally with high-volume exposure.
- Proficiency in SAP systems is mandatory; familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM/ERP platforms is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills capable of translating complex technical information into clear messages and building rapport.
- High accuracy in data input, order handling, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot, identify client needs, and propose effective solutions.
- Composure and professionalism when handling fast-paced or stressful scenarios.
- Certificates or diplomas in Customer Service, Business, Sales, or Contact Centre Operations add value.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel, and Word, with aptitude for quickly assimilating new software.
